Paris Trip: The Louvre Part II

Aphrodite of  Milos

Hi guys, how are you?Hope you'll all doing great. I haven't post lately on the blog but today I feel inspired. I know many of us were heartbroken about what happened in Paris. I am sincerely hoping for peace not just in France but in the whole world especially countries in Europe, Middle East Asia and Africa that are currently having terrorist crisis.  Anyway, back to the main topic of this post, I want to continue talking about my experience at the Louvre.

Paris Trip: The Louvre Part I

The Louvre, museum, Paris Trip

If there is one place I wish I had more time to visit, it's this beautiful museum. Louvre is more than just the pyramid structure you see outside.  A collection of treasures from different parts of the world are displayed inside. I don't think you have to be an art or history lover to appreciate the place. I admit that my knowledge in history is limited but my boyfriend is a history buff, therefore the place is like a "heaven" for him. A day is not enough to see everything inside the museum but I don't think a person would love to stay there the whole day. You'll need a break because it could be an overwhelming place even for an art enthusiast! I believe that it is a place that you have to visit more than once and spend an adequate time each tour.

The Palace of Versailles Part III - Grand Trianon, Petit Trianon and the Queen's Hamlet

Trianon Palaces, Versailles Garden, The Queen's HamletIt's time to share the third part of our day trip to the Palace of Versailles! This is by far my favourite part of our tour. I was impressed by the main palace's grandeur, fell in love with the magnificent gardens but my visit to the Trianon Palaces and the Queen's Hamlet tops them all. If you have more time, don't miss out on these parts of the estate. They also play a huge part of the royal history of France and there are many incredible things waiting for you to discover, they are not just a drop in the bucket of the Palace. :)  My boyfriend visited Versailles before but only had the chance to see the main palace and he (a hard to please type of person) was impressed to see these other parts in the domain of Versailles. We bought a 1 day passport ticket for €25 each person and it gives you an admission to all the places except for some guided tours. It's €15 for a ticket if you only want to see the main palace, but the additional €10 is really worth it. We are absolutely spellbound by the beauty of it all!

The Palace of Versailles Part II - The Gardens

Palace of Versailles, Gardens, Versailles

On my previous travel post on the blog, I mentioned that we skipped the main palace and visited the gardens to beat the crowd. I was worried about the weather that day because the sky looked dark in the morning. Luckily for us, the sun came out and smiled upon us before noon! If you see the garden, you'll wish nothing but a good weather in order to enjoy it! I love the Palace but the gardens and park of the Palace of Versailles are something much more for me. I love nature and beautiful scenery, that's why when I saw the beautiful yard, I was completely mesmerized! It was just what I imagined, it was perfect! I am a bit sad that we did not see everything, it was a massive place that requires a lot of time to be explored. We wanted to visit the smaller palaces, therefore, there's a time constraint in visiting each part of the estate. There's a 2 Day passport ticket you can buy to fully enjoy your trip to the Palace of Versailles.

Discovering the Palace of Versailles Part I - The Palace

Palace of Versailles, Paris Trip, Europe trip
Our trip to the Palace of Versailles was one of the highlights of our stay in Paris. I had doubts about visiting because of the negative comments which is mostly about the frustrating crowd I heard or read from others but it turned out to be one of the best part of our entire trip to Europe. The Palace is surely one of the most beautiful places I've ever seen. It is well worth a visit as it is fascinating with incredibly wonderful buildings and gardens (I'll talk about the gardens on my next travel post) with spectacular fountains and statues steeped in history. If you're looking for an astounding place filled with art, beauty and wealth, you shall visit the palace. History lovers will surely love a tour! In 1979, UNESCO designated the Château de Versailles a World Heritage site because of the historical events that are associated with it. A visit to the palace will  surely render you tired but in a good way. :)

Paris Trip : Eiffel Tower

Paris Trip, The Eiffel Tower, blog
Here's the first of the many Europe trip posts on my blog! I decided to talk about this travel into different parts rather than a huge article. There is just a lot of amazing things to cover on this trip! Our first destination was Paris, France. Ah Paris, je t'aime et tu me manques beaucoup! The city of romance definitely lived up to my expectations. Paris is surrounded by art and beauty. I really fell in love with this city and I'm going to start this travel series with one of my favourite landmarks, the Eiffel Tower. Like a child,my eyes widened at the sight of it!

Fall/Autumn Diary

Fall is a beautiful season that fills our senses with so many beautiful things. It's a season I always look forward to every year because there's many holidays or events that are celebrated such as Thanksgiving, Halloween and you start to feel the Christmas spirit. Before this beautiful season ends, I want to share the little things I love the most about fall or autumn:
